Lets slow down

As I get older time seems to move faster and faster. Gone are the days where the summer felt endless. Before you know it a week passes, then a month, and then an entire year. This post is to remind everyone especially myself to slow down from time to time and enjoy the simple things in life. Reflect on what is really important, relax, make time to do nothing, take a long walk or drive to see that sunset.

Just something to think about and this is exactly what I intend to do on my vacation coming up.

View from up here

Happy Friday!

The last morning we were in Florence we decided it would be fun to climb the 463 steps up to the top of the Duomo. Small dark staircases spiraling upwards, it was quite the trek...dripping in sweat (its difficult to do physical activity after you've been eating your body weight in pasta, pizza and gelato) we finally got to the top and this is what was waiting for us...without a doubt worth every step. It was the perfect ending to our stay in Florence.

In other news last night I spent the better half of my evening pinning away at Pinterest - its disgusting addictive and amazing...online inspiration boards - yes please! check out my profile --> annawithlove

When in Rome...

Happy Hump Day!

I hope you are all surviving the week. It seems like everyone (including myself) is feeling under the weather and battling some form of a cold. This post is my attempt to brighten my day a little and hopefully yours as well! This is the first set of photographs I've posted from Rome. The city was lovely, busy and had a great vibe it was really a shame we only had three days to explore and do as much as humanly possible! It was also right at the end of our euro leg trip so we were definitely slowing down. Regardless, we had an amazing time eating our body weight in pasta, gelato and pizza.

Live what you love

More photos from the gorgeous city of Venice. I didn't take a ride on the gondola but I photographed enough of them...my friend who was traveling with me had to stop me at one point because people were starting to give me the "look" (God bless friends who look out for you!).

Painters Heaven

Hello Saturday!

Hope you all had a lovely Friday night, Saturday mornings are by far my favorite. You wake up with nothing to do but be productive and start your day the right way! While most people like sleeping in there is nothing that frustrates me more, when I do I feel like I wasted half of my "free" days and start feel extremely anxious. Know the feeling? With that being said I am off to the park (it snowed all night last night leaving a beautiful blanket of snow) to photograph and have some fun. Followed by some Hot Yoga with the besties and then who knows! I'm sure I'll find something ;)

A glimpse of Florence

Hello everyone! What a busy week, I can't believe it's Thursday already. As I continue to sift through my Italy photographs here are some from the lovely Florence. I really enjoyed Florence, there was so much beauty around every corner...I have lots more photos that I'm excited to share with you all.

Looking forward to this weekend where I'll be attempting my first DIY home improvement....I'll be sure to take some photos to share with you later. Fingers crossed it turns out well!
